I wore the hell out of these waders guiding (fishing and waterfowl) for 2 seasons and they held up amazing. I noticed late this past winter some of the stitching on the inside thigh area coming apart and a small hole forming. I called Sitka and they said go ahead and patch them to get through the season. Many companies will void the warranty if you do this, but when you need waders, you need waders and was able to keep them from leaking. I sent the waders in early this Spring and they took a couple months to get back, which is understandable. Not only did they fix all the seams but they also put on brand new bootfoots. You can't beat this kind of service! I have owned all the other big name bootfoots out there including the other company out of Bozeman as well as the new Sitka competitor that starts with a 'C'. You can beat the comfort and performance of these waders!!

Had my pair since they were released in 2018. No leaks and no issues and I beat the ever living snot out of them. I waterfowl hunt 5-7 times a week and have used them for other tasks. Still am amazed they aren’t trashed by cutting timber and what ever other hell I put them through. I had 6 other sets of waders on hand when i bought these and threw all the other out since from early season waders, fishing waders and neoprene late season waders. The only thing I wish is they had large tall size when i got them.

They are the most comfortable wader on the market. As a Waterfowl guide that hunts twice a day. I have two pairs due to the amount of tears that happen every year. I have also had them leak at the knees. As soon as I send them back to Sitka they fix them and send them back free of charge. The comfort is worth the headache of having to send them back once a year for repairs. Great set of waders. They are worth the it because of the free warranty work.

These waders are great when they are not leaking. They are lightweight and easy to move around in. I hunt 3 times a week during the season so I need a reliable pair so I bought them. After the first season I had a goretex material tear near the boot and 2 leaks behind the knee. Sitka got it fixed and back to me $80 later and in reasonable time. But it’s just disappointing to pay a grand and have them leak in general and put extra money in them. Just know these are great waders but aren’t bulletproof like they may seem.

Sitka spent so much time making these “repairable” they forgot to make them waterproof... after 10 uses my brand new pair was leaking around all the seams that they put in them so that the boots could be detached. I love Sitka but the waders are just not there yet in terms of realizability. And it’s not just me, the repair time went from 3-4 weeks to “we don’t know” after duck season ended because of the “large influx” of pairs being sent in. If that doesn’t speak volumes I don’t know what else will. If you purchase this product expect to love it while it works and then be mad the rest of the year.

The best waders I have ever owned. I have been in and out of the so called best on the market waders and the Delta Zip Waders exceeded all expectations and needs. I can move around very well in these unlike other waders which were tight on the knees with no stretch to really get moving around. I hunt mainly flooded timber and swamps and walk into the duck holes and with a lot of under and over fallen trees. I can move great in the waders! People have asked me are they warm? I tell them they’re as warm as you want them. Layer up with what you need to be for warm and they’re breathable which is great. I can wear them all season long.

I have spent years searching for the perfect cold weather boot foot wader for fly fishing in Montana. It came down to the Delta Zip or one other competitor. I believe the Delta Zip was the right choice. Construction of these waders is amazing. The zipper, knee pads, pockets, shoulder straps and boots are all functional and practical. I am 6'01" and 200lbs with a shoe size of 11 - 11.5. The large fits great. The only challenge I had was sizing the boots. I had to order 2 pairs (11 and 12) and try them both before settling on the 12s. I would have really liked a 11.5 but half sizes are not available on these which is my only criticism. The 11s were fine with a thin sock but the warmth suffered. The 12s were super warm with a thick sock which is why I settled on them. My purpose of having boot foot waders was to keep my feet warm when fishing in very cold winter weather. The Delta Zip wader is a great cold weather product, and as such, has fairly large boots. They keep you warm but I could see how walking a long way could be a bit impractical. There is definitely a difference in mobility between a stocking foot wader and a boot foot but honestly, each has their pros and cons. So far I have only fished a few days in my Delta Zip Waders but they are great! The price is high, but if you are looking for a pair of cold weather waders, look no further. Sitka has developed an incredible product here. I put my cold weather gear to the test so I'll submit another review after I put some miles on these guys and evaluate their durability. Amazing product!!!!

I could not hunt without them now. I can walk through the mud very easy and my boot has never been left behind while walking in the mud. Last weekend it was in the 20’s and the only thing that was cold was my fingers. All my SITKA gear did the job and well worth every penny I spent. Now, I’m ordering the decoy gloves. I am relatively new to the waterfowl hunting scene, I’ve been hunting the last 5 seasons and went through 2 pairs of drakes neoprenes, and a set of cheaper lacrosse breathables that actually lasted me a few seasons and I enjoyed them. This last season I was lucky enough to buy a set of these and all I can say is wow. These fit great, boots are unbelievably comfortable, provide room for layers, cut wind, and keep me dry, pockets are easily accessible. I had doubts about The shoulder straps but after wearing them out I’ve grown to enjoy them and how easy it is to adjust the straps when adding or taking off layers. I have no complaints after one season. Durability is still something I’ll be monitoring over the years, I live and hunt in south east Texas but travel to hunt in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Washington and California. When I’m in the west coast I often hunt saltwater so it can be rough on gear. With that being said with the warranty these are a steal and hopefully these will be the last waders I ever buy.

I have 2 pairs of them and I wouldn’t trade them for anything. I’ve broken through ice, hunted flooded timber thick with blackberry vines and have not had a problem. Best walking, shooting, and wearing waders I have ever worn in my life. I would not go through briars and stuff with them, but if you walked carefully and watched where u are going you honestly can. These waders are light and still warm and they make it to fit perfectly snug when I layer my Gradient Hoody, Fahrenheit Vest, Duck Oven Jacket, and the Delta Wading Jacket on top. Their straps do not get in the way of shooting either. I give these waders a 5/5 because they are the best ones money can buy in my opinion.

$

That is what these waders are.

Yes, they cost a pretty good chunk of change. Are they worth it? If you are the type that hunts a couple of times a season, maybe. If you are a grinder who is absolutely eaten up with the sport of waterfowl hunting, absolutely!

As someone who has spend thousands of hours on the water as a fly fishing guide, I know quality waders (having worn Gore-Tex waders since their inception with one of the largest fly fishing wader makers in the world). A quality wader is a must. The comfort, the ability to move around and be mobile, the light weight, etc... are all very important when you spend a ton of time in waders. When Sitka announced the updated version of these, I knew I was going to get them. It was simply a matter of when.

With roughly 2/3 of my waterfowl season over, I can say these waders are absolutely $. Hunting the Midwest this season, with a week long trip to the prairie pothole region, these waders have been rock solid. This also accounts for walk-in hunts, climbing in and out of boats and a couple of slips/trips and falls on my butt. I do not regret this purchase at all!

If you love this sport and you make the most of your waterfowl season, you owe yourself. You won't be disappointed!

There is enough room for me to wear my Dakota Hoodie and my Dakota Vest under the waders, but not much more. The foot is true to size on these. I wear an 11 shoe and these fit true to size with a medium sock. If you want extra room I suggest you upsize. Waders allow a lot of freedom and mobility. If you move a lot and don't like huge bulky waders these are the ones for you.

Coming from a guy that uses his waders more that the 60 days, these are the waders you need. Not only are they comfortable, they're durable and the best part is they are serviceable. I push mine to the limits. 60 days in flooded timber, countless days before season getting ready and numerous days after season getting water off the timber to beaver control and surveying in the summer. They're light, comfortable and the best wader investment I’ve EVER made. I email for an RA number for annual service in late spring, send them in, they fix anything and everything and they let you know what’s going on with your waders. The days of having wet feet and going through 3 pairs of waders a year is over. This might be the single best technology for duck hunters since the automatic shotgun. It simply works and works well.

These waders make is all come together. The warmth, easy of layering, construction, and service. I put these waders through the ringer for two seasons and did not have a failure till the last day of the second season. I consider myself someone who can actually test gear to its limits and find weak points quick. I finally had a failure on the last day of the second season and it was a very small failure in the boot. Sitka's service department had my waders back quick and repaired. The process was easy and the waders pay for themselves in performance. Let's face it, nothing will last forever without failure, but if I did not make the investment I did, I would be buying another pair again this year. INVEST in your gear. Sitka makes the best of the best gear and I stand behind all of the products that I have had the opportunity to purchase. If you're questioning your purchase, let me again push you to invest in good quality gear. On cold, wet, and icy late season days to early hot teal season days, these waders will outperform and exceed your expectations on every level.

Ok, this review may a bit lengthy. I am an avid duck hunter, since I was 7 years old. I have bought several other top line brands (Lacrosse, Drake, Cabelas, etc) and never got more than 2/3 seasons per wader. Im very meticulous about taking care of my gear and was very frustrated with the longevity of other waders. Being an avid sitka enthusiast, I bought the the first gen sitka wader, before they changed the design of the lower boot. I upsized my wader order by one, measuring a 10 but ordered an 11. I like to layer and I knew sitka is a modern fit so I wanted to make sure I had enough room from the boot to the upper torso. Im 5'11" and weigh 200lbs. After 3 seasons, i had a slight leak on the seam of the neoprene boot. I called sitka asked If i could aqua seal the affected area, since the season was still under way, and then send back the waders for repair after the season. They told me that would not be a problem. I sent the waders back after the season and they put the new boot on in less than 3 weeks at no charge. Great customer service! The wader is like wearing a pair of your favorite jeans, they are extremely comfortable and offer ease of movement while hunting flooded timber or flooded rice fields. I highly recommend the wader. Ive had ACL problems with one of my knees and struggled with walking great distances in the timber with other waders. Not with these waders, as they are streamlined for ease of movement, with little to no drag in the water. The boots have the best platform for walking, not like other manufacturers that use cheap boots that not only are not warm but are clunky when walking long distances. The only potential drawback would be that the upper torso is not lined, which I did not know if I would like. For early teal season, it's great and as it gets colder, I wear either the gradient fleece lined pant or the sitka wader liner, if needed. They are truly worth the investment and like most things, you get what you pay for!

They are warm, comfortable, and durable. What really sold me on these waders was the End of Year warranty check. I sent the waders back to have them inspected. After about 6 weeks, I got them back in the mail. The inspection said no leaks. However, there was a comment that the left boot had an issue. THE BOOTS WERE COMPLETELY REPLACED WITH BRAND NEW BOOTS. This is why I buy Sitka gear. I trust the company will go above and beyond!

Whenever I shop for waders, boot warmth is the most important thing for me. I own 1800 gram thinsulate boots and it’s still not enough. To say I struggle with cold feet is an understatement. After a full season of hunting in Alaska with these I can confirm these are the warmest wader boots I’ve ever worn. I hunted in temperatures ranging from the low teens to the low 30s. From siting on a pond in a foot of snow to standing on the deck of a cold aluminum boat all day out on the big water my feet never got cold one time. This is a game changer for me. All the other features aside the warmth of the boots justifies the cost for me.

I like the waders better than previous waders I have owned. The biggest reason is I can send them in to be fixed.

I had two pairs of the newest guardian elite from Drake this season. Each pair lasted me approximately 13 hunts. The material was breaking down. I was able to purchase Sitkas towards the very end of the season and got about 6 hunts on them.

The boots have the most traction of any waders I have ever used. I love the design the hook and loop strap over a buckle for shoulder straps. The fit of the waders is great and I enjoy how the legs tapper. I don’t like the hand warmer pocket being open in the front of the wader or really care about having a zipper up front. In my opinion you loose some layout functionality of pocket and hand warmer placement. The Sitka site also does not show timber camo in boot size 9 LG or LGS. If I were to buy a second pair I would like them in a different pattern. I currently don’t have the option to be notified if this size color combination came in stock.

I am 5’9 170 LBS athletic build and have the waders in a size 9 LG. I could possibly go with the LGS. The price is high but, I am sick of buying 300-500 dollar waders to just trash them at the end of a season. This year I hunted over 55 times for waterfowl in the state of Kansas.

I purchased the Sitka brand because of the quality materials, front zip, and the light weight. They exceeded my expectations in performance and comfort. The lighter weight makes long walks much easier, I'm not nearly as fatigued at the end of a day of hunting, The boots are warm in the coldest mid teen temps I've hunted in. Boots fit snug with minimal slop. Zipper has worked flawlessly. The heel seams started to leak. I got an RA# and sent them back at the end of 2 seasons of use. 50+ days of hunting per season including hard walking through brush, breaking ice and riding a bike with them to access my spots. Ok so this is my 2nd full season in these waders and I gotta say that they are by far the most comfortable I’ve ever worn. Also they are very durable and show little if any wear on the knees or boots etc. after crawling around in and out of my boat, blind, and chasing down ducks and geese that didn’t quite expire right away over 70 days in the field. You can layer them up when it’s cold and stay warm. The low profile buckle on the shoulder straps doesn’t get caught up when mounting my gun, I only had to spray a little of the zipper lube on this season. These aren’t cheap but truly could be the last waders I’ll ever buy since totally serviceable and rebuildable.

I'm not a small guy (6' and 280 lbs) and I hunt an average of 40+ days per season, so in fairness, I put a little more stress on my waders than the average hunter. These waders made it through all of the 2019-2020 season and about halfway through the current season before the crotch seam started leaking. Called customer service (yes, the wait time was pretty long, but understandable in the current environment) and they rushed my repair. Turnaround was right at 2 weeks (got them back two days ago), and they came back repaired AND with a new pair of boots. Mind you, my boots weren't leaking that I was aware of, but when they pressure tested the waders, they detected a small leak in one of the boots. Lastly, they threw in a timber hat as a thank you. I got no response then went on ahead to call several more times just be on hold for hours. After a few more attempts I finally reached a representative who said “Did you consider going to the store and buying replacement insoles when you noticed one missing?” I was shocked and said “No, actually I expected to receive both insoles in a pair of waders I paid $1,000 for”. He then said I understand and am sorry for the problem. I said it’s no big deal as things happen. He said the earliest I can do is 4-6 weeks on that insole and that I can take your address down and mail that out to you as soon as possible. This was during our early teal season in Michigan (the first 15 days of September) and he assured me that I would have the insole for the full duck season come October 10. It is now January, our duck season has passed, and I still have yet to receive a right insole for the waders I bought directly from their website and paid $1,000 for. I even tried calling and leaving an email weeks ago to follow up to yet again receive no response.

Worth every penny! Great piece of equipment. These are just flat out built right. Best boot on a wader I have ever tried. No more saggy baggy crotch to the knees waders. Zipper is a great feature also. Perfect for busting ice with the extra knee protection. Yes they are expensive but you get what you pay for. Nice job Sitka!

Initial review. I haven't had a chance to take these out and test them yet, but as size goes. I am 6'1'' 200 lbs and usually wear 11.5-12 shoes/boots. The Large and size 11 waders fit great.

I’ve been waiting for months to get a pair of these waders. My size finally came in and I ordered the waders and some other items. Long story short, they mis-shipped my waders so I got everything but the thing I was looking forward to most. Whomever got my waders is probably dancing in the street. Now I have to wait until Dec 22nd to get a pair.
So I’m texting this, sitting in my tub, trying to identify and patch all the holes in my old waders. Lol. Good hunting!

I have dang near every waterfowl item sitka makes and doubles of some items.. this review is about the waders not the company or other products..ok maybe a little about customer service which has been ZERO since covid. I have sent emails and waited far too long on the phone multiple times for someone to answer which never happens. My waders are just about a year old, have no tears or nicks or anything like that but yet I am soaked when I get done hunting. I thought last season maybe I was sweating due to they layer system so I didn't pay much attention to it. This year first day out with very little clothing on.... wet again and not from sweating. The waders just leak... straight up. All over I have spots that leak and have pictures to prove it. So needless to say I am now that guy that bought ALL the sitka gear and is currently wearing CABELAS WADERS and being the laughing stock of the dang pond!!!! because there is ZERO customer service right now and I can't even go buy a new pair which I have also been trying to do since the discovery but you can't buy any now either because they are out of stock!

I have been really looking forward to getting these waders and putting them through the paces of duck season. To start the waders might be the most comfortable waders I have ever worn and they fit great, the boots are by far the best and most comfortable wader boots I have ever worn. I am tall and athletically built, right in between a L and XL, the LT fits like I had taken them down to the tailor and made just for me. I have hunted in neoprene waders my whole life getting away with thin sweat pants as my base layer but these defiantly require something thicker for when the weather turns. I think I waited about 6 months to place an order for these and was finally able to order them back in September, other than wearing them around the house, the first time in the water with them was opening day of the first split in OH. Day started out great, was loving the waders until they got caught on a stick getting into the blind and ripped. Not a small rip either, probably about 4", right on the inside of the thigh, it wasn't a very big stick. Wasn't able to hunt the next day where my buds limited, tight. As someone who owns a ton of Sitka Gear, across all of their lines, and has never had any issues. I am extremely let down by how quickly these failed.

Maybe one of these days I will get a response from Sitka, seeing as I have sent them multiple emails with no response.

I bought these waders for my husband last year as a Christmas present so we've had them about 10 months now. We live in Montana and in addition to being waterfowl hunters we also do a significant amount of fly fishing so these waders get used quite often. For size reference my husband is 6'1" and weighs about 200 lbs with a muscular build. We got the LT in size 12 which is his normal boot size and they fit great. They're incredibly versatile. He's worn them during the summer wade fishing in rivers with temperatures close to 100 degrees as well as during our cold winters when temps can drop to -20 degrees. I think the part I'm most impressed with about these waders, though, is the guarantee that comes with them. Up until about a week and a half ago we hadn't needed the warranty but my husband managed to put a large gash through the neoprene part of one of his boots literally the weekend before duck season started. We shipped the waders back to Sitka with a prepaid shipping label and 7 days after Sitka received them at their repair center they were sitting on my doorstep with a brand new pair of boots attached! They even included a free waterfowl marsh hat! I've been a fan of SITKA Gear for years but my experience with them this past week has made me a fan for life. If you're considering getting these waders for yourself, or some one you love, I can tell you without a doubt that they're worth every penny. I'd gladly buy them again but with their service warranty I won't ever need to.

(until they come out with women's waders of course)

Not exactly a waterfowl story but a wild success with my Sitka waders. I drew a rare moose tag in Alaska and spent 10 days on a very physical hunt. These waders got me through over 100 river crossings and countless miles of thick brush and swampy muddy drainages. From the thick tall brush to the temperature and weather changes to varying tasks like hiking or stand— the waders kept me safe warm and dry. Among the best Sitka products I own.

I have used these waders a full season. They are by far the most comfortable waders I have ever owned. I have used them in September for early Honkers, all the way to breaking ice in January. If you are in standing water you will want an insulation layer (gradient pants). I also developed a leak at the end of the season and sent them in to Sitka to get repaired. They paid shipping both ways, put a new set of boots on, and repaired 2 holes for free. They are expensive, but you get what you pay for. I am extremely happy with mine and a firm believer in Sitka and their customer service.

I finally bit the bullet. Got my self a pair of the XLT 2020 waders and I will never look back. The fact these are 100% serviceable is unbelievable. I wore these for early goose here in northern Minnesota with the core light weight bottoms underneath. The boots are super comfortable and my favorite feature is the zip. It’s really nice for putting them on and taking them off, not to mention when you need to do that thing that requires you to take other brand waders off. Also check out the waders bag new this year they do a good job of keeping the waders protected during travel and storage, they also help with taking the boots off with the built in boot holder. These are the last waders I’m ever going to own and I can’t wait to see how they hold up breaking ice late season here in MN. Thank you Sitka Gear!

From August building blinds in the Outer Banks of NC in 100+ degrees, to September and October in the wilds of AK hunting Brant and sea ducks dueling Bering Sea weather, Missouri and Arkansas Timber hunts in November, back to blizzards on Adak Island, AK in December shooting Eiders and Harlequin, January in Texas fighting clay and mud shooting Cranes and Geese, and then Slogging through mush in Feb and March chasing Snow geese from Mississippi to North Dakota. To say these waders are versatile is an understatement! Double the price on these waders and they would still be worth every penny! Over 200 days last season gunning waterfowl and guiding, no leaks, no discomfort, no complaints and comfort from the boots to the straps. Finally sending them in for the end of year service and receiving them back with a clean bill of health in 2 weeks during a PANDEMIC! Amazing customer service, backing an amazing product.

These waders are the absolute best piece of gear I have ever purchased. Yes, they are expensive but worth every penny. You truly do get what you pay for when it comes to quality waders. I was tired of baggy waders that didn't fit me well, weighed me down, and made me sweat. I am 5'10", 160Ibs, athletic build, and the medium short waders fit me like they were tailored to my body. I was shocked with how well they fit. They are extremely lightweight and breathable. I am able to walk longer and farther without feeling weighed down or getting tired as quick. This is huge for me considering I enjoy walk in hunts and scouting on foot. I also own Dead Bird Duck Calls and am very hard on my gear as we hunt most days during the season. I was eager to see how these waders would stand up against the abuse I would put them through and they far exceeded my expectations. Through buckbrush and everything else you can imagine, these waders help up very well. No leaks, rips, or tears. They are very durable. Lastly, these waders are so comfortable that I even wear them when dog training. Being as breathable and comfortable as these waders are, I am able to utilize them during the offseason to keep me dry while training. Excellent piece of equipment and I would 100% recommend these waders above any other brand. Buy a cheap pair and replace them every year, or go with Sitka and never have to buy another pair again. You do the math ;) There isn't one bad thing I could say about these waders. If you are a serious duck hunter, you need these.

I bought these waders in May, and have not used them hunting yet, but I have worn them scouting some public land the last few weeks in Maryland (we have had a bad heat wave recently with really high humidity) and I must say these were the real deal. Walked through brush, briars, and have put several miles on them already and they are so comfortable. I wore them when the heat index was around 100 degrees, and had the lightweight bottoms on under them and I was so comfortable. Can not wait to wear these when it gets colder. I have been a firm believer in Sitka for a few years now, and these have reaffirmed what I already knew. Sitka is the best!!
