How to Take
1. SLEEVE MEASURE
Bend your elbow and put your hand on your hip. Measure from the center of the back of your neck, along the shoulder and down the elbow to the wrist bone.
2. CHEST SIZE
Take measurement under armpits, around fullest part of chest and shoulder blades.
3. WAIST SIZE
Measure around where you normally wear your pants, keeping the tape measure a bit loose or putting one finger between your body and the tape measure.
In a standing position, measure from your crotch to where you want your pants to end, breaking at the top of the shoe in the front and just above the heel in the back.
With hand partially closed, measure over the knuckles, around the hand, excluding the thumb.

Why We Made This
Hunters have struggled to find a technical hunting shirt for hot weather–often relying on their base layer to fill this need– and most base layers are not optimized to be worn as outerwear because they lack the durability and UPF protection needed for early-season hunts. Our approach was to create a lightweight yet durable technical hunting shirt, something that hadn’t yet been offered to the big game hunter. We’ve leveraged our textile development and construction prowess to deliver evaporative cooling, UPF protection without chemical treatment and resistance to chafing from backpack straps.
Anytime I’m hunting in warm weather I wear the ascent system. This shirt breathes incredibly well and is durable beyond belief. Looking forward to more use next week spot and stalking turkeys.
This is a great shirt for any summer, early fall activity. It is also a must-have shirt for any serious early season elk or deer hunter. It weighs almost nothing, dries quickly and is incredibly comfortable. I wore this shirt on at least 7 days of a 11 day Montana elk hunt and I was happy to find that it didn't hold on to odor.
Do yourself a favor and buy this shirt!
This new pattern is great ..used in B.C and Mexico, cannt buy more quick enough only pattern I’ll take this year to NWT and Mexico
I hunted with the Ascent set this September for my Once In a Lifetime Draw ND Elk. It was in the badlands of ND near TR National Park. Weather was hot, in the 80s and 90s during the day. This shirt held up very well. Carrying my pack and rifle, in that heat, I was drenched in sweat. However when I would stop to glass an area, within a half hour, the shirt was virtually dry again. I wore the same shirt for 5 days, by itself during day, and with a layer over in morning and nights, and in very rocky terrain. At night I would hang it on a branch outside my tent. Not only did it hold up to the abuse, it barely had any scent when I would put it back on in the morning. When I harvested my elk, I naturally covered it in blood, and washed it a few days later. All the blood washed out. Excellent early season or hot weather gear. As good as or better than any other hot weather hunting shirt I’ve had.
Bought this shirt for hunting here in SoCal. The fit is athletic, but I still fit my normal size. Moisture wicking and fast drying. Helped keep me cool when temperatures spiked to above 80 degrees. Highly recommended.
great product and quality was awesome but sizing was little off. Need to order a size bigger.
Very lightweight shirt but I didn't find it to be all that comfortable or functional compared to other lightweight shirts in the product line. I prefer the core lightweight shirts over this. I do like the fit through the arms, it's more form fitting which is nice when you're drawing a bow. Built with warmer climates in mind for archery season. It is performance fit, so you may need to size up if you're a tweener size, but I used as a baselayer or standalone layer so the tighter fit didn't bother me.
The only long sleeve shirt I've been able to wear without rolling the sleeves up on when it's hot. If you need camo in hot-warm weather look no further. Sitka hit a home-run with this fabric.
Can I give this 5 stars? 6? The best hot weather gear on planet. I just finished hunting early season in W ND in temps that exceeded 90 degrees some days. Carrying full pack, I was routinely sopping wet with sweat. After I sat down to glass, not fifteen minutes later I felt completely dry. If you hunt warm to hot conditions, get one of these shirts and pair it with the pants. You won't regret it.
I love Sitka gear and the quality of their clothing, but the sizing between each piece of clothing seems to be very inconsistent. Moving forward I will try each piece on individually before buying. I am 5'10 225lbs. I was super stoked to get this new piece of clothing for hunting. I have the the Core Lightweight Crew LS and Core Lightweight Hoodie both in XL and they fit absolutely perfect. I recently bought the Ascent shirt in an XL. When I raise my arms ,like I would for glassing, it also feels tight across the back of the shoulders. I can't size up because the body fit is already lose. Love the concept and idea of this shirt , but I will be replacing this with another Lightweight Hoodie.
This is the answer to early season scouting/hunting. The shirt couldn't be more bang on when it comes to answering your need for those hot high output days. Incredibly light, incredibly breathable with no details overlooked.
My search for the ultimate light weight camo is finally over with this ascent gear. I have other "Lightweight pieces" and none of them come close to this. As for the shirt, pretty much every feature in the description and video are what make the shirt awesome. The material itself is crazy light. This shirt balled up in my hand... is about the size of a baseball... The flip up neck collar isn't too snug making me feel like I am in the woods wearing a neck tie, which some other shirts have done in the past. (6'1" 195lbs size L). The chest half zip is fantastic for giving you extra airflow when you really need it. So far I've worn this chasing turkeys in 90 degree temps down to 65 and been just fine.

If you just sweat no matter what, this is your shirt for those steep adventures! I wear this up. It gets completely soaked while keeping the breeze on me. Once I get to the top. I take it off hang on a branch in the sun. 5 minutes and it’s dry with no stink! Worth the money.
Finding a piece that wicks sweat, blocks UV from burning your skin, washed with water and dries fast is a difficult thing. The arms form fit and it all stays tight while offering mobility. I wore it ever day through some nasty terrain and it held up extensively. No pulls, no burrs, no BS.
The concept of a lightweight shirt is ideal and this shirt fits the mold, but it is extremely loud and sounds like (and feels like) plastic bags rubbing together. I ordered all my base layers and shirts in size medium (5'6"/175 pounds) and this is the only piece that I cannot fully zip up through the neck. I can get it about 85% of the way zipped. A large would have been way too big, but I suspect I could have at least fully zipped it. For the price tag it feels cheap, loud, and not size matched to their other garments. I have not hunted in this gear yet, but plan to this spring for bear season (Montana) so my review is strictly on appearances, feel, and fitting. For the price, this piece does not impress me at all.
great product! Extremely comfortable and is great for early season stalks!
