We designed the Ambient Jacket to be durable, packable, and most of all, adaptable to changing weather conditions and levels of activity. Utilizing low-bulk PrimaLoft® Evolve active insulation, this jacket delivers plenty of warmth when you’re still, breathes well and manages moisture when you’re moving and dries quickly if it gets wet. Ideal under a shell during cold weather hunts, on its own during brisk spring and fall evenings in camp, or tossed into your pack for summertime backpacking trips into the high country, there’s never a time when you don’t need this.

How to Take
Your Measurements

1. SLEEVE MEASURE
Bend your elbow and put your hand on your hip. Measure from the center of the back of your neck, along the shoulder and down the elbow to the wrist bone.

2. CHEST SIZE
Take measurement under armpits, around fullest part of chest and shoulder blades.

3. WAIST SIZE
Measure around where you normally wear your pants, keeping the tape measure a bit loose or putting one finger between your body and the tape measure.

4. INSEAM
In a standing position,measure from your crotch to where you want your pants to end, breaking at the top of the shoe in the front and just above the heel in the back.

5. GLOVES
With hand partially closed, measure over the knuckles, around the hand, excluding the thumb.

Technology
Why We Made This
Our goal was to create a layer that worked harder and performed smarter. The answer was in partnering with PrimaLoft® Evolve for the most active insulation on the market. Active insulation’s biggest benefit is its ability to adapt—it traps heat while you’re sitting, and breathes more efficiently than static insulation while you’re on the move. The Ambient jacket or hoody will increase the performance of your clothing system for any pursuit functioning as a mid or outer layer depending on the need.

The Ambient allowed me to comfortably set the stage for each hunt without forcing me to slow down to prevent sweating out. When the work was done, I didn’t need to immediately layer up to stay warm. It’s surprisingly thin and light given the warmth it provides, which makes it the perfect layering piece as the hunt goes on.
I have put on a lot of Sitka out of the box, but this may be the best piece of gear I have ever put on. The fit is perfect, the material inside has to be the most comfortable I've felt in the Sitka line. The material is silent for all things outdoors and hunting. Sitka hit all marks on this one!
The Ambient jacket is a perfect light and mid layer. It keeps you warm but also isn't too much bulk to get in the way and you can quickly make sure you don't overheat too. Jacket works great!
The Ambient jacket is a versatile, breathable layer that has enough stretch to move with me during active hunts. Whether I'm wearing it as a mid or outer layer, it's a winner!
This jacket was a life saver when setting goose decoys and hiking through the duck slough. It allowed me to regulate the heat I was creating and provided loft under a waterproof shell like the Delta or Hudson. It was my go-to insulation on every hunt this fall. So light I almost didn't notice it, and kept me comfortable when the birds were flying.
Maximum breathability for the hike in and setting decoys, it's super quiet for big game and packs down to almost nothing.
